Small group training allows an individual to work on specific elements of physical function and rehabilitation. Working in a similar way to elite sport training, the individual will work on their pre-arranged programme around various pieces of equipment under the supervision of a personal trainer or physiotherapist.
It is essential as a carer to look after yourself too to be sure of being able to sustain your role.
Using similar techniques to our disability classes, the class can suit all levels of ability so that each person can work at their pace without feeling intimidated.
During the Covid-19 crisis, we have started specifically adapted seated exercise for those in carehomes and supported living. The classes run by Jon Thaxton are being offered twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays at 10am, lasting approximately 30 mins.
