My 1st session was awesome, I started off with boxing exercises in my wheelchair then moved on to standing and sitting on a box exercising. I get tired very easily so done the excercies at my own pace. I was very pleased with my achievements and I look forward to improving my ability at future sessions which I'm sure will help with my overall health. Jon and Rachel were both very friendly and encouraging, the session lifted my spirits as well as working on my physical abilities.
“I really enjoy boxing it’s the best thing for my legs, tummy and fitness. I really like doing boxing hooks and jab uppercuts, the circuit is really good too, we sometimes mix this with boxing aswell in our classes. Jon Thaxton is the best teacher and the best boxer in the world! Boxing makes me fitter, stronger and makes me feel better. I have made lots of new friends. It will really help other children to become stronger and fitter aswell like me and I can help teach others too.”
After trying various fitness classes, to no avail, I’m so glad I found this group. I have Parkinson’s and this affects my balance and walking, and loss of general strength. I’ve been attending the Tuesday adult class for 8 weeks, plus I have weekly rehab sessions on an individual basis, and I follow a routine at home. Everyone is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They adapt to your needs and sessions are as hard as you want to make them! My family and friends are so impressed with the progress I’ve made in a relatively short time. Give it a try, you have nothing to loose!
